More than two decades of Ottawa music .
Quite possibly the longest-running
music show in Canada.
Launched 1973, it ran for more than 20 years thanks to the support of community cable television in Ottawa and the many volunteers who made it happen. In the early years this 30 minute weekly music show initially featured the studio recorded interviews and performances of local musicians but as technology and ideas evolved Soundtrack began to get out about town.
It was the Fall of 1990, and I was 19 years old. I had recently graduated from TV school, and despite my best efforts, had not yet landed a job in my field. Instead, I was spending most of my waking minutes volunteering at Skyline, gaining experience and doing cool things with cool people.
